Two trees (in progress)

January 4th, 2009 · 4 Comments

This pastel – in progress – is from a photo I took in October 2006 while at a workshop with Jo Castillo. I’m getting closer to done, but not sure where it will end up.  I worked on it quite a bit at the Travis Heights Art Walk in December, and yesterday at the Real Gallery show.

Two Trees in progress

I got two computer viruses on new years eve, and have spent an incredible amount of time trying to get rid of them and to make sure I don’t have them on my other computers.  I paid Norton 100 bucks and over the next day and a half, they managed to get my laptop to the point where it will not boot up.  HP says I’ll have to reformat my hard drive and lose all my data, photos, etc.
So I haven’t answered emails because even though I’ve scanned our two desktops twice with Norton and with Spybot, I’m not totally sure they didn’t spread via our network.

I like this. Great complements and light under the trees. Sorry about the computers. What a pain.

Computer problems suck. Spybot does a pretty good job but can’t catch everything. Oftentimes, the only thing you can do is start over from scratch. Try to boot into safe mode and run Spybot and Norton again…making sure you’ve downloaded all of the latest updates before running. If they both report things are clean in safe mode and the computer doesn’t seem to misbehave, you might have licked the problem.

People who write malware are no better than thugs who walk up to you and punch you in the face.

Thank you, Jo. I hope to work on it more after the 10th.. and I’m liking the colors I think.

Thank you for your suggestions, Joanna. You’re always very helpful – I’m pretty sure my desktop computers are clear. Will know more later on the notebook.
