A Radiance of Cardinals

As I walked past the back door yesterday, I saw a large cardinal on top of the chiminea and behind him on the ground were five male cardinals.  I wasn’t able to grab the camera in time, but was still lucky enough to get this photo of four males and two females… click for larger view:

    Regina I love the picture and the nature lesson too ;-) I have two pairs of cardinals hanging around my place. I love them. I was surprised to hear they can live for 15 years in the wild – that is too cool!

    Karen – I didn’t know that about how long they lived. But I love that they are “officially” called a Radiance. Isn’t that wonderful? So fitting.

    I love this phrase for a group of cardinals, I am going to use it whenever I refer to “a radiance of cardinals”.
