Sally Fraser, Austin, Texas

Growing up in West Virginia had a tremendous influence on my view of life. I viewed the forest environment as a playground, acquiring the names of birds, various wildlife, trees, wildflowers, mushrooms, algae and the sense of smell of caves, creeks and the various seasons. All of this was, and continues to be, a major source of inspiration for me, with new observations and study in nature, museums, travel, books and art classes. Also painting with a group of other artists every week stretches my art knowledge through the more experienced artists of the group.

Mediums: because I have a collectors mentality I find collage is my most enjoyable medium.
